2007 USPCA National Field Trials
Volunteering Efforts Award

The Lakeland Police Department K-9 Unit presented a plaque to the LCPAAA in recognition for their volunteer work at the 2007 Police Dog National Field Trials. Twenty members volunteered their time to assist with the various competition events during the five day program in October 2007. The volunteer hours for this event totaled 368 hours! Congratulations to the LPD K-9 Unit who was awarded overall second place “Department Team” honors. The LPD also had two dogs finish in the top 20: Officer Ted Sealy with K-9 “Bodo” placed third and Officer Aaron Peterman with K-9 “Charieff” placed eleventh.
