Community involvement is the most powerful force any law enforcement agency has on the fight against crime. Through the CPA, citizens are getting involved in making Lakeland a better, safer place to live.

The 22nd class of the annual Lakeland Police Department Citizen Police Academy graduated on November 14, 2007. Following 14 weeks of instruction into all facets of department operations, a total of 44 participants received their graduation certificates from Chief of Police Roger Boatner.
