Graduates of the annual Citizen Police Academy hosted by the Lakeland Police
Department are eligible for membership in the Alumni Association. These
members are dedicated to continuing their volunteer involvement with LPD
in a variety of ways.

The 25th class of
the annual Lakeland Police Department Citizen Police Academy

The 25th Annual Lakeland Citizen’s Police Academy graduation was
held on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at the Lake Mirror Center in Lakeland.
President Arnold Johnson and Dave Munson presented Chief Roger Boatner with a
check for $9,500.00. The funds will go directly to Lakeland Police K-9 Unit to
help fund the purchase of two new K9s for the unit. Chief Boatner was also given
several awards of appreciation for his support of the Lakeland Citizens Police
Academy.
